It has been quite some time since a fashion brand has really caught my attention, until now. Introducing, BODE.
BODE (pronounced BOH-dee) is a brand based in New York designed by Emily Adams Bode, a graduate of Parsons with a BFA in menswear and Eugene Lang with a BA in philosophy. Rooted in strong personal connections to old fabrics and clothing, Ms. Bode wanted to create a company that reflected her passion, but was wearable and made in New York. BODE creates one of a kind pieces that are cut from globally sourced antique fabrics. Originally created for men, although women have worn the smaller sizes. What I love about this brand is how fresh it seems, even though it is deeply connected to stories of the past. It also pulls at my heart's strings because of my own personal history with vintage textiles and antiquing. You can read more about the brand through their website, and 'press' links. Below are a few of my favorite shots from their Instagram.
