Sashiko Shirt // Lakes / by Katie Turner

Not long ago, I acquired this button up shirt that had a few holes in it that seemed to have happened due to over-bleaching. The shirt was fraying very easily so I knew if I wanted to wear it, I needed to repair it first so the holes wouldn't get any larger. For this mend I decided to do a sashiko-inspired patching technique. I used embroidery floss and denim scraps. My roommates told me the patches look kinda like lakes, and I love it!!
