May in Chicago / by Katie Turner

Just as it was starting to feel like summer in Chicago... it got chilly again. This is me throwing on a light sweater and embracing my favorite pair of pants I don't wear nearly enough. If these photos prove anything it's that if you give me pockets, my hands will be in them! It also proves that your outfit doesn't have to be harmful to the environment- scroll down for outfit credits.

Shirt is thrifted Zara, pants are second-hand Oscar de la Renta, shoes are Vans* Sk8-His, and jewelry is all family heirlooms.

*Although Vans aren't necessarily a conscious company, I choose to wear their shoes because I find they last me a very long time. This particular pair will cover most seasons in Chicago, and are durable enough for what I like to do.
